If you’re able to combine work with pleasure, the eastern coast of Spain is a pretty nice destination for a meeting.
Last week, we convened a meeting of the AccessData International Client Advisory Board (ICAB) in Barcelona. The ICAB is a unique working body comprised of senior executives in the digital forensics and legal markets at various organizations around the world. The purpose of the board is to help AccessData better understand the changing needs of these markets, which we believe will allow us to design and deliver more relevant offerings to our customers.
The Barcelona meeting was very productive and revealed some important market trends that we’re already busy investigating. Moreover, we were able to listen closely to our customers and obtain honest feedback from them regarding a few of our strategic plans, which will be directly incorporated into the AccessData product roadmap.
The ICAB members provide guidance for our strategic thinking and product development planning. In order to deliver two-way value, however, we make sure to provide educational, entertaining and professional networking opportunities that benefit the board members as well.
“Thank you for organizing the Advisory Board meeting,” said Kursad Guney, senior forensic IT specialist at Grant Thornton Forensic & Investigations Services, who is based in Rotterdam. “This level of direct interaction with your clients really gives us the confirmation that AccessData is committed to not only stay, but also grow as a leader in the market. Having the opportunity to directly engage with both the leadership team at AccessData and especially other clients was invaluable.”
There is a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives among the members of the board, including some who are end-users of AccessData products and some who are senior-level decision makers. The ICAB has been so well received that we’re now looking to expand this concept next year to include our North American clients and form a truly global advisory board.
Check out a few of my photos of the sights and scenes from the Barcelona meeting. We look forward to hosting the next ICAB meeting in 2017!
