Hands-on Computer Forensic Training

The AccessData Academic Program provides higher learning institutions with the necessary tools to offer accredited computer forensic training. Participating institutions will receive a course curriculum utilizing AccessData’s Forensic Toolkit® (FTK®), which is recognized around the world as the standard in digital investigation technology.

The program will offer students the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, and effectively use the combined abilities of FTK and Password Recovery Toolkit® (PRTK®). Students will learn how to locate and examine email messages, deleted files, free space and file slack. Additionally, students will learn how to search for and export graphic files, export and gain access to encrypted files from multiple industry-standard applications, document digital media information, work with multiple forensic image formats and much more.
Finally, students will walk away from your AccessData accredited program knowing how to conduct an effective Windows-based investigation, using Forensic Toolkit to locate and analyze Windows artifacts, such as: data found in the Recycle Bin, file metadata and OLE items, print spool data and remnants, Windows logs and link files, as well as data carved from unallocated space.
